NCCAM
The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) is 1 of the 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH is one of eight agencies under the Public Health Service (PHS) in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). NCCAM is dedicated to exploring complementary and alternative healing practices in the context of rigorous science, training complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) researchers, and disseminating authoritative information to the public and professionals. http://nccam.nih.gov/

NCMHD
National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) is to promote minority health and to lead, coordinate, support, and assess the NIH effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities. NCRR
National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), a component of the National Institutes of Health. NCRR supports primary research to create and develop critical resources, models, and technologies. NCRR funding also provides biomedical researchers with access to diverse instrumentation, technologies, basic and clinical research facilities, animal models, genetic stocks, biomaterials, and more. NIH Clinical Center
The NIH Clinical Center will serve as the nation’s premier research hospital for conducting clinical research to improve the health of human kind. OBSSR
The U.S. Congress established the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) in the Office of the Director, NIH, in recognition of the key role that behavioral and social factors often play in illness and health. The OBSSR is to stimulate behavioral and social sciences research throughout NIH and to integrate these areas of research more fully into others of the NIH health research enterprise, thereby improving our understanding, treatment, and prevention of disease. http://obssr.od.nih.gov/

OER
The Office of Extramural Research (OER) serves as the focal point for policies and guidelines for extramural research grants administration. OMAR
The Office of Medical Applications of Research (OMAR) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the focal point for evidence-based assessments of medical practice and state-of-the-science on behalf of the medical community and the public. OMAR works closely with NIH Institutes or Centers and Offices to assess, translate and disseminate the results of biomedical research that can be used in the delivery of important health services to the public. OAR
The NIH Office of AIDS Research (OAR) is located within the Office of the Director of NIH and is responsible for the scientific, budgetary, legislative, and policy elements of the NIH AIDS research program. Congress has provided broad authority to the OAR to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and fund all NIH AIDS research.
