ORHP
The Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) promotes better health care service in rural America. Established in August 1987 by the Administration, the Office was subsequently authorized by Congress in December 1987 and located in the Health Resources and Services Administration. http://www.ruralhealth.hrsa.gov/


Outreach Grant Program
The Office of Rural Health Policy's Outreach Grant Program is designed to encourage the development of new and innovative health care delivery systems in rural communities that lack essential health care services. DFCR
The Division of Facilities Compliance and Recovery administers the 'Health Care and Other Facilities' grant program that provides construction assistance to health facilities across the nation. The Division also manages the Hill-Burton program to assure that obligated health facilities provide free or reduced cost medical services to those persons who are uninsured and underinsured and meet eligibility criteria. http://www.hrsa.gov/OSP/dfcr/index.htm


Division of Transplantation

VCIP
On October 1, 1988, the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) was established to ensure an adequate supply of vaccines, stabilize vaccine costs, and establish and maintain an accessible and efficient forum for individuals thought to be injured by childhood vaccines.The VICP is a no-fault alternative to the traditional tort system for resolving vaccine injury claims. Women's Health
The HRSA Office of Women’s Health coordinates women’s activities across more than 80 HRSA programs. This cross-cutting and unifying role strengthens its programmatic focus to eliminate gender-based disparities, and ensure that all women receive comprehensive, culturally competent, quality health care. http://www.hrsa.gov/WomensHealth/


Federal Tort

Public Health
Public health professionals—in their roles as environmental monitors, inspectors, consumer educators and health care providers—significantly reduce the number of preventable deaths. Public Health Training Centers assess the learning needs of the public health workforce and provide training to meet them. While core funding for Public Health Training Centers comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the HRSA Bureau of Health Professions, their resources and networks can be used by any source interested in improving the knowledge base of the public health workforce through training and education. http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/publichealth/
